Wortley curve land up for auction

A three acre strip of land west of Leeds that was formerly used by the railway to link Bradford and Wakefield has been put up for auction by Railway Paths Ltd with a guide price of £15,000.

The chord has been put forward as a potential option to improve connectivity between Bradford and Wakefield/South Yorkshire without passengers having to travel via Leeds. It closed in 1985 and is currently overgrown.
