A feasibility study into a proposed railway station serving the Devizes area has been released showing that the best case would be part of a wider set of rail improvements.
The study found that a topping existing services would have a far reaching knock on effect on many more passengers travelling across the network than those joining trains at Devizes. Extending trains from Bedwyn to Westbury would require more trains and a new platform at Westbury.
