Reston station joins the railway network

A new station has joined the railway network in the Scottish Borders following the completion of a £20m programme to serve Reston and the surrounding area. Located north of Berwick upon Tweed, the station will be initially served by a mixture of services operated by Transpennine and LNER. The previously shared timetable has been enhanced with a small number Edinburgh to Berwick upon Tweed shuttles.
