Council backs Cambridge South with calls for more environmental protection

Councillors have backed the proposed railway station at Cambridge South but called for more protection of the local environment including trees as it is being built. The response was set at a meeting ahead of a public inquiry into the railway station.

The council also called for focus on minimising disruption to local residents, a nearby cycle route and noise mitigation measures.
