Levenmouth and Portishead donate old track to heritage projects

The Avon Valley Railway and Fife Heritage Railway have received donations of track from nearby railway projects as part of work to restore regular passenger services on them.

The Fife Heritage Railway is receiving a mile of track from the project connecting Leven to the national rail network. It will enable them to add a new running line, which will enhance the experience that it can offer visitors

Parts of the Portishead railway line that won’t be used as part of the restoration of regular services have been offered to the Avon Valley Railway, who will use them to upgrade and improve their infrastructure.
