Stronger economic case needed for East West Rail Aylesbury link

The Transport Minister has advised that the economic case for the Aylesbury spur of the East West Rail line needs to be strengthened if it is to be successful. The line was not included in the most recent construction plan for the Oxford-Cambridge railway line, meaning that it relies on the outcomes of further spending reviews and infrastructure awards.
