Medway Council have opened a consultation into proposal to restore passenger services over the Grain freight line serving Hoo. The consultation shows the infrastructure plans that will be implemented including a section of dualling at the western end of the line, a passing loop and a new railway station. Several level crossings will also need to be replaced with new bridges as the current plans are to extend the third rail network to the new railway station.
The consultation is expected to close on 7 March.
