Bow Street joins railway network

Bow Street joined the railway network this morning (Sunday 14 February) following the arrival of the 0912 service to Aberystwyth. The single platform station became reality following a successful bid to the second round of the New Stations Fund.

The new station, which is located on the Cambrian line between Aberystwyth and Borth, features a car park and bus interchange. The former railway station serving Bow Street was closed in January 1965.

Proposed Railway Schemes has counted Bow Street as station number 2,573 on the national rail network.
