£20m funding gap for Camp Hill line restoration

At a meeting of the West Midland Combined Authority, it has been revealed that there is a substantial funding gap to be closed for the construction of three railway stations and new services on the Camp Hill railway line. The budget has increased to £61.4m accounting for lessons learned from the station upgrade at University Station.

If government funding already requested and sought is not provided in the expected timescales, it is expected that the scope and timescales will change.
