Network Rail has unveiled the details of the new plans for the railway station serving Inverness Airport in its planning application to Highland Council.

The two platform station will serve the airport, a business park that is earmarked for development and the new town of Tornagrain, which could eventually accommodate 5,000 homes.

The station will be located on the Aberdeen-Inverness line and follows Kintore, which has recently opened.
