Kintore is set to join the railway network on Thursday 15 October following an extended construction period caused by Covid-19. The station is the first of two new railway stations on the Aberdeen-Inverness railway line with Dalcross set to join the network in the next few years.

The station benefits from upgrades in the area, which have enabled additional railway services through Aberdeen.
The two platform station is fully accessible with a transport interchange and 168 parking spaces.
