Heathrow rail link delayed by up to two years

Western Rail Access to Heathrow (WRAtH) has been delayed by up to two years after the business case and private funding sources rolled back due to the impact of Covid-19 on air travel. The brand new railway line, which would have linked Heathrow to Reading via a short spur off the GWML at Langley required a Development Consent Order to progress.

The Development Consent Order is expected to be submitted late next year.
