The decision to progress a new railway station at Thanet Parkway has been deferred following the substantial impact of Coronavirus on council meetings. Kent County Council was expected to hold a public meeting in May with regards to the proposed station, which would be located on the Ashford-Canterbury-Ramsgate line.
