The MP for Torbay has confirmed that he will support a bid to round 3 of the New Stations Fund for a railway station serving Edginswell. The station would be located on the railway line between Newton Abbot and Paignton.
Progress on this project has stalled over funding. A bid to the second round of the New Stations Fund was unsuccessful.
