Government funding allocated to Willenhall and Darlaston

Following on from the allocation of £15m of funding to Camp Hill Line stations last week, £10m has been allocated towards the restoration of railway stations at Willenhall and Darlaston. Further costs will be met from the regions HS2 connectivity fund.

Planning applications are due to be submitted later this year and it is hoped to start work next year with a view to reopening the line to passengers by the end of 2021.
