Tavistock rail link costs rise to £70m

The expected costs of restoring the rail link between Bere Alston and Tavistock have risen to £70m. The local council has previously hoped that the rail route could be restored with developer contributions.

The council has acquired most of the land required for a rail route and is considering various options including an active transport route and a non-rail based shuttle between Tavistock and Bere Alston.
