Plans to open a new railway station at Meridian Water have been delayed until at least the 28 May 2019. The station was expected to open last Sunday as part of the May 2019 timetable change. It would replace nearby Angel Road whose record on the Greater Anglia website currently states the following.
STATION CLOSING
This station is scheduled to close permanently on 27 May 2019 or within four weeks after that.
A brand new station is scheduled to open on 28 May 2019 at Meridian Water which is situated approximately 500 yards away to the south, on the opposite side of the North Circular Road.
