Electrification issue impacts Aldridge service options

The lack of electrification has impacted the possible service options available for the railway service that could serve a reopened Aldridge railway station. Plans have previously involved utilising extending the electric train services operating between Walsall and Birmingham.

The option being proposed for further investigation is the use of bi-mode trains, which can operate on electrified and non-electrified lines.
