The introduction of regular Tram-Train services for passengers will occur on Thursday 25 October 2018 with a 20 minute frequency service between Rotherham Parkgate and Sheffield Cathedral. It marks the beginning of a two year pilot where the cost, reliability, satisfaction and passenger numbers will be monitored.
