2,564 or 2,565
The new service on the Swanage to Wareham link has potentially added a new railway station to the official list of railway stations in the guise of Corfe Castle. Formal confirmation is being sought from the ORR.
So, Kenilworth was station 2,564, the ORR tell us that Corfe Castle WILL be counted in the stats, so that makes it station number 2,565 – and therefore station 2,566 will be Maghull North. It opens next Monday (18th June). The first service will be the 05:58 to Liverpool Central.
