A meeting of councillors has highlighted that a rail link to Glasgow Airport known as the Airport Access project is unlikely to meet the proposed 2024 opening date following the publication of a report. The report raised concerns about the economic benefits and the impact that trains serving Glasgow Airport would have on the rest of the network. Work is ongoing to explore the concerns with the authors of the report (Jacobs) and Transport Scotland.
