Bishops Stortford Town Council have agreed to call for the restoration of the railway line from Bishops Stortford to Braintree via Great Dunmow as part of their response to a consultation on new communities in the area. This response is driven by concerns that commuters living in the new community will overwhelm the transport infrastructure in Bishops Stortford.
