The site of the proposed railway station at Henbury has been selected and is expected to be signed off at the next meeting of the West of England Joint Committee on Friday.
Two sites were selected for consideration. The west site was the location of the former railway station in the area. The east site was mostly green field. It has fewer risks and implications on existing assets with the potential for expansion. The station has been priced between £9m-£10m and will be delivered as part of MetroWest phase 2.
