There has been disagreement over a railway station at Hampton in north Peterborough. The Lib Dem candidate for the mayor supports the proposal but a member of the city council has advised that the final decision to build one would rest with Network Rail.
Network Rail have advised that a railway station would be considered if the elected mayor offered funding.
