Apperley Bridge is set to open within the next two months. The station is progressing well with substantial and recognisable parts of the station in place. The photos were taken on Monday 31st August.
The Leeds bound platform is well underway as 333004 passes through the site on a service to Bradford Forster Square, which will be expected to serve the station when it opens.
With the Bradford bound platform hidden behind trees, the substantial ramps required to reach the platform is clearly seen.
The Bradford bound platform can be seen from the A658 bridge over the railway line.
Taken from a local residents street, the car park can be clearly seen taking shape. Drainage areas have taken shape in the foreground. These are expected to be planted with numerous plant species.
The road junction serving the station car park is under construction. The station will not only serve as a Park and Ride but it also provide transport to pupils to the school located just behind the photographer. Anyone walking from here to the Leeds bound platform will have at least third of a mile to cover.
