East Dumbartonshire Council has reaffirmed commitment for three railway station in its region. Allander, Woodilee and Westerhill all remain with the local plans.
Allander would be located between Milngavie and Hillfoot. There are concerns that costs could substantially rise because the impact on the timetable would require double track to be installed in this area.
Woodilee and Westerhill Railway stations would be located on the Edinburgh to Glasgow via Falkirk. Whilst the stations could be accomodated, there are concerns that they would impact the resilience of the network.
