Local Councils suspend Worth Valley Commuter plans

Plans to run commuter services on the Worth Valley Railway line between Keighley and Oxenhope have been scrapped by Worth Valley Joint Transport Committee because Bradford Council and West Yorkshire Transport Officials could not recommend the level of subsidy required. The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway will remain in operation as a heritage railway.
