Stonehouse Station reopening features in consultation

The Gloucestershire Local Transport Board is currently consulting on fourteen transport schemes, one of which includes reopening Stonehouse railway station.

What it is: Re-opening the railway station at Stonehouse Bristol Road on the Gloucester to Bristol route, allowing for the local stopping train on the route, to stop additionally at Stonehouse as well as Cam & Dursley and Yate. What it does: Opens up opportunities for quick and direct journeys by rail to the Bristol area and beyond both to/from Stonehouse, Hardwicke, Quedgeley and Stroud Valleys.
