James Cook University Hospital Station to open in May 2014

Following a Freedom of Information request, it has been confirmed that James Cook University Hospital Railway Station should open in May 2014 subject to no delays to the programme. This is two months after the expect mid-late March opening date.

1)      Construction works started on site on 6th January 2014.  Works are being delivered by Network Rail and its contractors, on behalf of TVU.

2)      Subject to there being no adverse weather condition or other unforeseen delays, the station is programmed to open in mid-May 2014.

The station will be located on the Middlesbrough to Whitby line and will be served by services travelling to Whitby and Nunthorpe. It will be operated by Northern Rail.
