Friday 24 February 2017 was the last day to submit views to a survey run by Highland Council into reopening the railway station at Evanton.
A survey of businesses has shown substantial support for some form of rail link to Glasgow Airport from the city centre.
Passenger demand on Sunday services running between Okehampton and Exeter has run to more than 7,500 journeys following surveys taken by OkeRail during the operation of the summer services.
Volunteers have begun clearing vegetation from the railway line that runs between Trawsfynydd and Blaenau Ffestiniog. This will enable a survey of the route which last saw a train in 1998.

Councillors have backed proposals to launch a door to door survey of residents in Lostwithiel to understand transport priorities. One of the options is to reopen the railway line between Lostwithiel and Fowey.
