Kirkstall Forge has surpassed its first year target after just five months. Over 20,000 passengers have used the railway station that opened on 19 June 2016.
The developers of the site at Kirkstall Forge have revealed that 170-180 people per day are using the railway station that opened just two months ago.

Kirkstall Forge railway station could be opened on Sunday 19th June subject to Office of Rail and Road approval. This could be brought forward if approval is provided earlier.
An update into the progress being made to deliver Kirkstall Forge railway station has been published as part of the papers provided to the Leeds district committee for their meeting on 4th April 2016.
2.10. Construction of Kirkstall Forge station is complete and the access road to it is due for completion before the end of April.
2.11. The station will be served hourly by Ilkley/Leeds trains with additional Airedale line peak hour trains. The technical process to gain approval from the Office of Rail and Road to open and operate the station is underway and approval is expected in April.
