A number of photos have been taken showing the progress being made at the construction site of Kenilworth railway station. It is expected to open in December 2017.
The opening date for the proposed railway station at Kenilworth has been delayed from August 2016 to the timetable change in December 2016 due to delays encountered delivering track and signalling works that will facilitate rail services serving the new railway station. The railway station is expected to be completed by August 2016.
The proposed raikway station at Kenilworth is unlikely to realise its full potential unless the Cross Country train service that uses the existing line stops at the station as well as the proposed shuttle. This would give the railway station a 30 minute frequency service.
Groundworks have started at the site of the new Kenilworth railway station. The railway station is expected to be finished early next year with the new service between Coventry and Leamington Spa starting in the summer.
Graham Construction has won the contract to build the proposed railway station serving Kenilworth. The work is expected to be completed in early 2017.
